The “Parrot” chandeliers and wall sconces were created in the 1920s by Victor and Robert Baguès. This gave rise to the “Parrots and Foliage” range, which quickly became a timeless icon of the brand.
THE PARROT
Born at Baguès in the 1920s, this motif gave rise to the “Parrots and Foliage” collection, in gilded ironwork with hand-set crystals, a timeless icon of the Maison.
00121 FOLIAGE
Listed as #121 in the Baguès catalogue, this fine ironwork model features the foliage motif, characteristic of the “Baguès 1920” style still produced by the Maison today.
THE OCTOPUS
In 1927, Baguès created the Octopus chandelier, an emblematic piece of its Art Deco style in fine ironwork: wrought-iron arms set with hand-cut crystal.
THE “GALLEON” CHANDELIER
Baguès drew on the lines of a galleon to design this chandelier, a unique bronze piece listed in the Maison’s official catalogue.
THE JEANNE LANVIN BUTTERFLY
Created for Jeanne Lanvin’s apartment, this butterfly motif was designed by Armand-Albert Rateau.
CHANDELIER 20045
This 36-light chandelier showcases the Maison’s expertise in chased bronze and crystal setting. It adorns the lobby of the Baur au Lac hotel in Zurich.
Maison Baguès
Inspirations such as the Galleon and the Octopus enrich these collections, along with the butterfly designed for Jeanne Lanvin. Most of the models are the creations of Victor Baguès and of the successive design offices.
